Navigating Ethical Challenges in a Complex World

I’m a Harvard Professor, Author, and Behavioral Science Expert who studies brainwashing, media influence, and human behavior at its limits. For over two decades, I’ve researched how influence and persuasion shape decisions — and how organizations can avoid crossing the line into manipulation.

Through ethics advising, I help leaders and teams make clear, grounded choices. My work offers practical frameworks for building cultures of integrity and trust, so organizations can act with confidence in uncertain times.

Advising Formats

Every organization faces different challenges, so I offer several ways to engage with ethics advising. Each format blends historical insight with practical application, giving leaders the tools to act with integrity in real-world situations.

Keynote + Strategy Session

Pair a keynote talk with a private session for your leadership team. This format introduces core ideas to a wider audience, then creates space for leaders to apply those insights directly to organizational challenges.

Workshops and Small-Group Facilitation

Interactive sessions designed for boards, leadership teams, or departments. These workshops focus on real-world case studies and give participants practical frameworks for decision-making under pressure.

Ongoing Ethics Advising

For organizations navigating rapid change or recurring challenges, I offer ongoing advising. This form of organizational ethics consulting provides continuity and deeper support as leaders build cultures of trust and accountability over time.

What Organizations Take Away

Before working with me, many leaders describe feeling uncertain about how to handle ethical challenges. Cultural shifts, digital influence, and pressure to perform can leave organizations reactive, anxious, or unclear about where the line between persuasion and manipulation lies.

Afterward, leaders often say they feel more confident, resilient, and better equipped to guide their teams. With practical frameworks and deeper historical context, organizations leave with clarity and tools they can put into practice right away.

Before

  • Unclear how to navigate influence and persuasion
  • Concerned about reputational risk or ethical blind spots
  • Reactive to cultural and technological change
  • Struggling to align decisions with organizational values

After

  • Equipped with frameworks for ethical decision-making
  • Confident in identifying and addressing ethical risks
  • Proactive in shaping a culture of trust and accountability
  • Able to make grounded, consistent choices in complex situations

Who I Work With

I’ve shared my work in classrooms, public talks, and on leading podcasts — and I now bring these insights to organizations seeking practical guidance. My ethics advising is designed for leaders who want to build trust, navigate influence, and make clear decisions in uncertain times. I work with:

  • Businesses and Corporations — supporting leaders and teams as they address ethical influence, build resilience, and strengthen cultures of integrity.
  • Nonprofits and NGOs — helping mission-driven organizations stay true to their values while navigating growth, funding, and public trust.
  • Universities and Professional Associations — working with faculty, boards, and member groups to address ethical challenges in education and research.
  • Leadership Programs and Boards — guiding executives, trustees, and emerging leaders through frameworks that promote accountability and ethical decision-making. My work in ethical leadership advising helps leaders strengthen their integrity while navigating complex cultural and organizational pressures.

Wherever I’m advising, my goal is the same — to help organizations move beyond compliance and toward a culture of trust, resilience, and ethical clarity.
